Captain Judson Brock

A fisherman since he was a child, Judson developed his love for being on the water with his dad at Topsail Beach, North Carolina. In his early youth, he began fly fishing the streams and rivers of the North Carolina Mountains as well as the inshore and nearshore waters of Topsail. He started tying his own flies and building his own lures in middle school when his grandfather gave him his first vice. After college, he decided to follow his passion and pursue a full-time career in fishing. Judson’s love for fishing has taken him around the world and he has had the opportunity to guide in incredible places! He’s guided in Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, Louisiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and the Florida Keys. Now he focuses his time on his three favorite fisheries: North Carolina, Louisiana, and the Chesapeake Bay. Although he loves fishing so much, Judson says his favorite part about being a guide is the relationships he has built on the water with his clients.

CAPTAIN MICHAEL BELL

fly fishing and sight fishing for redfish in wilmington and wrightsville beach

Captain Michael Bell grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina. Learning to spin fish for bass and crappie with his parents started his love of fishing. As he grew up, he looked to expand his fishing knowledge and started to fly fish the small streams of Western North Carolina for weary native brook trout to wild rainbows and browns. Moving to Wilmington for college he learned the waters surrounding the area and couldn’t leave. With his love of fishing, he has explored many different bodies of water from Virginia, The Florida Keys, Louisiana, and Montana to chase a wide variety game fish. Captain Mike looks forward to sharing this unique fishery and making many great memories with his clients.

Capt. Jeff Kidwell

Captain Jeff Kidwell was destined to be a waterman from the time he was born. Originally from Annapolis Maryland, Captain Jeff spent time fishing the Chesapeake Bay and the nearshore waters of Ocean City. His eagerness to fish and broaden his knowledge drew him to fly fishing rivers and streams around the greater Maryland area. Jeff’s obsession for learning new areas of fishing drew him to traveling frequently. He has spent time fishing from the mountains of the pacific northwest to the saltwater flats of the caribbean while gaining extensive knowledge from those he has met along the way. Captain Jeff’s love for the water and passion for fishing truly became an addiction when moving to Wilmington, NC. For the better part of a decade, Jeff has spent countless hours learning the waters of what he now calls home, southeastern North Carolina. Captain Jeff now shares his knowledge and passion for the outdoors with his clients on a daily basis. Eastern Angling has a reputation for having the best guides in the area. As a member of the Eastern Angling team, Captain Jeff relentlessly contributes to this reputation by putting his clients on fish and providing them with a truly memorable outdoor experience.
