Chesapeake Bay
As the water begins to warm up in late spring, the cobia start to show up in large numbers. These fish love to swim on the surface which makes for incredible sight fishing. Whether you are throwing a fly or a buck tail jig, these fish are extremely aggressive and ready to eat. Sight-fishing cobia on the fly in the Chesapeake Bay is one of the most untapped and unknown fisheries for fly anglers in the country. An average day provides plenty of shots and often times 50+ pound fish. We spend a few weeks during June and July targeting these incredible fish in Eastern Shore, VA. Join Eastern Angling this summer! We know you wont regret it.
